Add to this, the hellfire at and on Twitter, both as a company and platform. All under the guise of free speech by a self-proclaimed savior of humanity. The amount of hate, misinformation and disinformation on that platform since the dawn of the “sink” era, is proof of what else lies out there.
Regardless, there is a silver lining, and a way to expand it. Brazil just showed the world, that even if by the narrowest margins, decency and civility is still a majority. Folks in the US have an opportunity to do the same, and prove that vitriol, tyranny, and conspiratory tendencies are still a minority. We look around and see common decency every day, making us fall into incredulity that a radical fringe can ever take over. And we stop there. Don’t.
Before or on this Nov/8, vote. Vote like this is the last time you will. Vote like you’re holding the line in Kherson, in Zahedan, in Rio. Vote like you would to prevent another Prayagraj or Uvalde.
Vote like it is Roevember, because it is.
