I wanted to check out how Mrs. Murthy writes and I guess she writes only for kids. I was disappointed – to the extent that there were grammatical errors I did not expect.
I would disagree. I have not seen anyone who can write in simple English. Her travelogues / experience with people are amazing and well portrayed.
For example, if you want a nice book, you should try reading Mahashweta. I was moved to tears reading it. The Old Man and His God – Discovering the Spirit of India is another book, I enjoyed.
@Balaji: Hmm, I guess I was too judgmental after the first read. Should read on a few other books before I can settle down. Will read the two books you mentioned.
